Terms of Service

This is the agreement between you and The Knowledge Jar. We have kept it in plain English, because an agreement nobody can read is not much of an agreement.

1. Agreeing to these terms

By using www.theknowledgejar.com or joining The Knowledge Jar community, you agree to what is written here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or join the community.

You must be at least 18 years old to sign up, purchase a membership, or hold an account. See section 5 for how young people take part.

2. What The Knowledge Jar is

The Knowledge Jar is a paid membership community for families. It includes a weekly guided build session, an open weekend Q&A, a step-by-step launch path, and access to a community of other families working on the same thing.

It is an educational program. We teach a process and we work alongside you. We are not your business partner, your lawyer, your accountant, or your financial adviser, and nothing in the program is legal, tax, or financial advice.

3. Membership, billing and cancellation

Membership is $27 per month, or $260 per year. The community and all billing run on Skool, a separate platform. That means:

Your payment is taken and stored by Skool and their payment processor. We never see or hold your card details.
Your subscription renews automatically each period until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time, from your own account settings on Skool. No email required, no phone call, no retention gauntlet.
When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that, access ends.
Skool’s own terms of service also apply to your use of their platform.

If a price ever changes, existing members will be told in advance and given the chance to cancel before it takes effect.

4. Refunds

If something has gone wrong, email victor@theknowledgejar.com and tell us what happened. We would rather sort it out with a human than hide behind a policy. Where a refund is issued, it is processed through Skool.

5. Young people in the program

The whole point of The Knowledge Jar is kids building real businesses with a parent beside them. So the arrangement is this:

A parent or guardian holds the account and is responsible for it.
Young people take part through that account, with the parent involved.
The parent is responsible for supervising their child’s participation and for anything posted from their account.
Community platforms have their own age requirements. It is the parent’s job to check and follow them.

Any real business a young person starts is theirs and their family’s. We claim no ownership, no equity, and no share of it. We also take no responsibility for it — running a business means real legal and financial obligations, and those are yours.

6. No income promises

We do not guarantee that you or your child will make money. Not a specific amount, not any amount, not ever.

Any example, story, or result you see from us is what happened for that particular family. It is not a promise, a projection, or a typical outcome. What you get out of this depends on your effort, your idea, your market, your timing, and plenty of things none of us control.

If you ever see us imply otherwise, tell us, because it would be against our own rules.

7. How to behave here

This is a community with children in it. Keep it that way. Do not:

Harass, bully, demean, or threaten anyone
Post anything sexual, violent, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate for a family space
Spam the community or pitch members your own offers without permission
Share member information, posts, or private conversations outside the community
Break the law, or help anyone else do it

We can remove content or end a membership for breaking these rules. For anything that puts a child at risk, we will do it immediately and without warning.

8. Our material

The lessons, templates, videos, worksheets and written material we provide are ours, and your membership gives you a personal licence to use them for your own family. Please do not copy, resell, republish, or share them outside your household.

Anything you post in the community stays yours. By posting it you give us permission to display it inside the community so the community can function.

9. Other companies’ services

This site and the program link out to services we do not run — Skool, email tools, and the AI tools we teach with. We are not responsible for those services, their pricing, their availability, or their terms. When you use them, you are dealing with them.

10. What we do not promise

We provide the site and the program “as is.” We work hard on them, but we cannot promise the site will never go down, that every link will always work, or that the program will suit every family.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost business opportunities. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Some places do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Ending things

You can cancel whenever you like, from your account settings. We can end or suspend access if these terms are broken. If we end your membership without cause, we will refund the unused portion of what you have paid.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update this page and change the date at the top. For anything significant we will email members rather than quietly editing the page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
